Financial Aid
Options that may be available to you.
How students apply for Federal Student Aid and how eligibility is determined
Financial Aid is determined using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the web.
A student’s financial aid package may include a Federal Pell Grant and Federal Stafford Direct Loan.
You should use FAFSA4caster to learn more about the financial aid process and get an early estimate of your eligibility for federal student aid.
Award years are 6/31/20xx - 7/1/20xx. Your tax returns determine the award you will receive. If your enrollment falls over 2 award periods, your 2nd award cannot be forecasted until you have submitted your tax returns and have filled out the FAFSA. (If you know you made more money the 2nd year then your award may be reduced so you should plan accordingly).
- Pell Grants - does not need to be repayed.
- Stafford Loans - must repay loans beginning 6 months after graduation.
- PLUS loan (for parents of students under 24)
- NO SCHOOL PAYMENT PLANS ARE OFFERED. All checks must be certified checks.
