ITEC Qualifications
Widely considered to represent the highest esthetic quality in Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, (ITEC)The International Therapy Examination Council. ITEC is the largest multi-disciplinary international examination board, issuing professional diplomas. ITEC diplomas are recognized and respected by employers in more than 19 countries and are considered to be the highest professional standing that an esthetician can currently hold. International (ITEC) credentials are portable from country to country.
ITEC is progressive with its tiered approach and by including advanced technologies competing with international diploma organizations such as CIDESCO. CIDESCO requires 1200 hours study for face and body, not focusing on facial therapies. CIDESCO currently has only 140 colleges registered, conducting approximately 4000 exams per year, versus ITEC's 675 accredited schools and 32,000 exams per year.
ITEC qualifications have been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills in the UK. Qualifications are available in 3 disciplines: Beauty Therapy, Complementary Therapy and Sports Therapy. For each award, ITEC has devised a complete syllabus that stresses both the underpinning knowledge and practical skills required to become a fully qualified therapist. All qualifications comply with the National Occupational Standards where they exist and are supported by the National Training Organizations.
ITEC Examiners will test the theoretical knowledge and practical ability (where applicable) of each and every candidate to ensure that their skills are of a sufficiently high standard to achieve an International Professional Qualification.

- As salon/clinic owners or as visiting therapists
- In clinics and salons
- At sports centres and leisure centres
- At holiday resorts and spas
- Beauty Farms and European Destination Spas
- On cruise liners and even on some airlines
After extensive training in our facility students may take an ITEC EXAMINATION, an ITEC examiner from overseas travels to test candidates' theoretical and practical skills and as well as assess their case study to ensure they comply with ITEC's standards(additional fee must be paid to ITEC... usually around $175).

Qualifications
- Canidate must be enrolled in our Basic Esthetics (inclusive) and completed sufficient hours & practicals (see director for qualifications) or a graduate of Basic Esthetics (inclusive) from our school with payments up to date & be in good standing , or
- must hold a transcript from another school's course equivalent in content to our Basic Esthetics (inclusive) , or
- or hold a license equilavent to Virginia's Basic Esthetician (600 hours or above) and proof of 3 years practicing in the field.
