The Medical Esthetics course (focus on medical based skin care) is designed to provide an overview of what can be expected when working in a medical skin care setting. Students can develop an understanding of:

• Working in a medical setting, associated medical terminology & medical charting, client intake and assessment, indications and contraindications.
• Fundamentals of medical based skincare & exfoliation procedures.
• 4 hours of theory & practical class, 20 hours of lab time.

The Medical Esthetics course (focus on medical based skin care, laser skin rejuvenation & resurfacing) is designed to provide an overview of what can be expected when working in a medical skin care setting. Students can develop an understanding of:

• Working in a medical setting, associated medical terminology & medical charting, client intake and assessment, indications and contraindications
• Fundamentals of medical based skincare & exfoliation procedures
• Fundamentals of equipment, safety and protocols for: FRAXEL Laser resurfacing
• Fundamentals of equipment, safety and protocols for: Laser & IPL rejuvenation
• Overview of light based hair removal, vascular, pigment treatments
• 8 hours of theory & practical class, 142 hours of lab time

This is a cash pay class/workshop, and does not qualify for Financial Assistance. SEE THE PROGRAMS SECTION For programs that are Accredited by NACCAS, lead to licensure and offer financial aid for those who qualify.
