Laura Todd is a true visionary and entrepreneur. She is a successful high-performance coach, medical spa owner, and the founder of the Institute of Advanced Medical Esthetics, an accredited career college in Virginia. Her career college has successfully helped thousands of students over the past nineteen years and focuses exclusively on Master / Medical Esthetic level careers including Medical Esthetics and Cosmetic Laser Technician programs. Laura is a published author and has written and contributed to several academic textbooks and many published educational manuals over the past two decades.

Laura’s academic focus was pre-med, holding several University degrees, including a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Biology and her coursework for a Master’s is in Education.

Laura continues to involve herself in State and Federal regulatory and legislative matters after previously serving as the co-chair on the Virginia Panel for Esthetics Licensure, establishing two-tier esthetics (basic and master) licensure. The Governor appointed Laura as Virginia’s first full-term esthetician seat. Serving on the board, she is the main contributor to the development of the Virginia Esthetics Regulations. As a result of all her dedication to Virginia’s esthetic industry, the state board staff issued her license #1 for her school and license #1 as a Master Instructor in Virginia. The state board later recognized her with an Appreciation of Service award.

Laura has also served as a subject matter expert to help create the Licensure Examinations for NIC and continues to consult for several national examination companies. She continues to serve as Virginia’s State Relations Committee representative for AACS and participated in policy development for the medical board concerning the use of cosmetic lasers in Virginia.

As a lead Master / Medical Esthetics Educator, he has been a leading contributor to helping thousands of students over the years become successful in their Master / Medical Esthetic level careers. Mathew has written and contributed to several academic textbooks and many published academic manuals over the past 13 years. Mattew is also active in State, National and Federal regulatory matters. He lobbies for the continued improvement of the Esthetics Industry in Virginia and Nationwide.

Patricia comes to the Institute of Advanced Medical Esthetics with a background in Science, Auditing, Corporate Management with a strong focus in Customer Service.She received her Esthetics training from the Institute in Medical Esthetics & Cosmetic Lasers. Patricia has almost 2 decades of experience working in medical based skincare spa and as a Master Esthetician Instructor, Medical Esthetician & Trainer, Certified Cosmetic Laser Technician & Instructor.
Patricia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom and caring atmosphere, even with the Institute’s rigorous and challenging approach to their medical based skin care curriculum.Patricia takes a personal interest in every student  and loves to see the students flourish and grow in their journey towards their new career.
